近年，經常會聽到如此的對話：「喂，你睇咗嗰套新上畫的《乜乜新戲》未？」
「未喎，不過聽人講套戲麻麻，我諗都係唔睇住了，留番出碟先睇啦！」
「留番出碟先睇」，個人認為，能說出這句話的人，絕不能算是電影愛好者，他們只是一些「偽影迷」。
電影這種媒介，本身是為了在電影院播放而生的。而相信電影導演在演繹其作品時，腦中都是在想：這個鏡頭如何可以在大熒幕上發揮得最好？這個效果在戲院中會帶給觀眾驚喜嗎？總而言之，電影導演心中的電影，就是戲院中的電影、大銀幕上的電影；電影導演心中的觀眾，就是電影院中的觀眾。
試想像，有一位出色名廚，用最新鮮的材料、最巧手的技藝，精心炮製了一碟新創的名菜，由廚房捧着出來，希望食客能趁熱嚐鮮，並即時發出讚嘆的反應；可是，食客卻道：「我唔食住了，幫我打包唔該，今晚『叮』熱呇A食。」這，非但是對名廚的一大種侮辱，也表示其實那位食客，根本不懂得欣賞美食。
同理，「留番出碟先睇」的人，當然無罪亦無可厚非，但其對電影的熱愛程度，絕對有限。
