辦公室桌上的 LCD 平面電腦顯示器，一夜之間突然死亡，死因不明。其外殼上明顯有被破壞過的痕跡，肯定別有內情。（這件事已發展為一個推理故事，待真相大白後，必會另文再述。）
於是秘書們連忙到公司貨倉內，把一部舊款的 CRT 顯示器搬來，頂住檔先。這一「頂」，卻讓我了解到：人是不可能走回頭路的。
未用過 LCD Mon 之前，心想：「何必花多些錢，去買 LCD Mon？傳統的 CRT Mon 不是很好麼，只不過是比較笨重吧。」
用過 LCD Mon 後，當我的眼睛已習慣了它較柔和的光譜、更清晰的層次後，能否回頭去用 CRT Mon？答案是：不能。
當用來「頂住檔先」的 CRT Mon 安裝好後，甫一開機，我就知道，我頂唔順了！它的輻射似乎特別強烈、它的光度似乎特別刺眼，任我如何調整它，也達不到令我舒適的效果。馬上決定，必須盡快購買一個新的 LCD Mon，否則我的工作必然大受影響！
同樣地，用過彩屏手機的你，能回頭去用黑白手機麼？用過數碼相機的你，會回頭去用菲林傻瓜機麼？我們，根本已經沒有回頭路可以走了！
