有位朋友與幾個人夾份，於銅鑼灣開了家「上樓 Cafe」；閉O地點不俗，坐擁銅鑼灣最旺地帶的街景，故生意不俗，人氣甚佳；開業僅三個月，最近就被城中某權威飲食雜誌，選為「全港必去十大 Cafe」之一。朋友自然士氣高昂，大半年的努力和心機總算沒有白費。
該期雜誌精選介紹了全港一百家這類 Cafe；我估計，連同不入選一百大的，以及其他漏網之魚，同類 Cafe 已有三百至五百家之多，盛況一時無兩。之不過，這個 Cafe 熱潮，卻令我想起以往在港出現過的「網吧潮」、「VCD 鋪潮」，以至再早期的「租帶店潮」、「桌球室潮」；大家一窩蜂地開設同類店子，激烈競爭之下，到最後必然是汰弱留強。兩三年後，這五百家 Cafe，大約只會剩下一百家吧，甚至是十分之一。
因此，朋友這家店子現在入選了十大，也閉O高興得太早了。做懦撥~，始終是長期戰爭。假使一年後、三年後以至五年後，她的店子仍然入選十大，我才會正式恭喜她；不，應該說，幾年後若果這家 Cafe 仍然健在，已經值得恭喜了！
不要怪我潑她冷水，朋友嘛，當然要講真說話。
