曾經與一位「茶博士」在酒樓飲茶（食點心那種「飲茶」，不是「品茗」、「茶道」），期間我問他：「到底你認為甚麼茶最好飲？」他的答案，出乎我意料之外：「冇所謂的，在我來說，甚麼茶都好飲！」一邊說，他一邊正粗獷地為我們斟普洱加滾水，一點也不講究的，還笑道：「這壺茶都一樣好飲㗎！」有道理。
有一位專事報道寵物資訊的雜誌記者，家中居然沒有養貓、沒有養狗，連魚呀龜呀甚麼寵物都沒有。我一直質疑他：「你自己都冇養寵物，點明白養寵物的苦與樂呀？又點會寫出好的寵物稿來呀？」誰料他笑眯眯答曰：「我就係太明白養寵物的責任重大，所以先決定唔隨便養。」有道理。
綜合以上兩大道理，我也發展出我自己的一套來。
作為一個雜誌人，若有人問我「甚麼雜誌最好睇」，我會答：「冇所謂的，在我來說，甚麼雜誌都好睇！因為我天生就喜歡看雜誌嘛！」然後隨便拿起一本爛鬼過期周刊：「這本都一樣好睇㗎！」
若問我「買開乜雜誌」，則答道：「我不隨便買雜誌的，買的話即是支持它們，我做乜要支持我的對手？」
