本港市面上到底有多少本定期出版的本地雜誌？相信沒有人能答得上來。而事實上，將此一問題中的「本港」換作是「台北」、「上海」、「東京」、「紐約」等，都是一樣的，沒有人能答得出具體的數目，因為實在太多太多了。
當中有釵h雜誌，你平日是不會看的、不會注意的，但一旦有需要，就會忽然變成讀者。例如，小弟最近對養狗的興趣大增，積極考慮養番隻雪橇犬或金毛尋回犬……不，所住屋宛不准養狗，也野u能考慮較小型的威爾斯哥基犬、長毛臘腸犬，以便偷養吧！抑或該養更小型的松鼠犬、比高犬呢？當此時候，我最需要的就是資訊，於是馬上去搜羅市面上的寵物、犬隻雜誌。去到報攤，這才知道，原來這類雜誌有如此之多！
同時間，小弟最近把久未使用的外國車牌（駕駛執照），換領成本地車牌。一有了車牌，就心癢癢想買番部二手車玩玩。二手車何處尋？當然是二手車的雜誌啦！於是又走到報攤，結果又瞪大雙眼：乜有咁多本！
或曰：那麼到底有多少本寵物雜誌、二手車雜誌呢？我經過一輪研究，仍然是答不上來！
