家中有一盒極珍貴的 VHS 錄影帶；珍貴在於，它記錄了八十年代某個暑假，一次圍內同學的長洲宿營。
畫面質素很差，別忘記那是用第一代家庭攝錄機拍的；清楚記得，那部機器又大又重，稱之為「手提」絕對勉強。至於內容嘛，堪稱「相當無聊」，譬如有約半小時的打麻將實況、有同學睡姿大偷拍、有自創 MTV 等等；最精采的，是被我們稱為「千人壓」的場面：有人趁同學在床上熟睡時，突然發難撲上其身，其他近十人群起湧上，一個壓一個，猶如打美式足球！其暴力程度，與時下的校園暴力影帶相比，不遑多讓。
事隔十多年，影片中人已難得一聚，但偶爾人齊，總會提起這盒影帶，甚至即場重溫，捧腹一番。有一年大家看完後，決定要將之轉成 VCD，以免影帶損壞片段散失，我就接下了這個重任。
可是，明明我家樓下就有一間影帶轉 VCD 的店子，但幾年來我都沒有意欲去做這件事；總覺得，如果轉成 VCD 後人人擁有一碟，大家就不會再珍惜，更不會有一起看影帶的日子了！
所以最近又有人問我：何時把它轉成 DVD？我笑而不答。
