在日本漫畫中比較有看頭的「第十行星」故事，乃科幻大師星野之宣的作品《二○○一夜物語》。
單看書名已覺得它有料到，同時令人聯想起《二○○一太空漫遊》及《一○○一夜物語》（即《一千零一夜的故事》，或譯《天方夜譚》）。事實上，它的確是兩者的結合，既是太空科幻亦是神話組曲；全書三冊二十個故事橫跨數千年，各自獨立但又互為因果。
當中第八個故事名為《第八夜：惡魔之星》。所謂「惡魔之星」就是第十行星，被稱為 Lucifer（魔王星）。當人類初往探索之際，卻赫然發現魔王星竟是一顆由反物質組成的星球！
發現反物質的意義相當大，人類可以利用物質和反物質碰撞而產生的巨大能量，開發出超光速太空船，邁向其他遙遠的外星系！可是，地球上以梵蒂岡為首的保守勢力，極力反對開發魔王星，指它是罪惡的根源、第二顆禁果；因為人類一旦踏出太陽系，將會對現有宗教系統造成極大衝擊。
與之同時，正在探索魔王星的太空船內，又接二連三發生神秘死亡事件……到底魔王星是否真乃惡魔的星球？人類又會否被嚇窒？（待續）
