在一隊團隊、一家公司、一個組織之中，經常會有一些所謂 Key Person，或者 Go-to Guy。
他們的能力特別標青，深得領導信任，故上頭遇有任何特別任務、難題危機，第一時間都會想起 Key Person，由他去執行解決，不作第二人想。
明顯例子，乃中國男籃隊中的姚明。女排嘛，今屆奧運俄羅斯隊中的高妹加莫娃，更是極出色的 Go-to Girl！奧運決賽中俄羅斯首先贏得的頭兩局，全憑加莫娃那凌厲的扣球，令中國隊完全無力招架；她為俄隊取得了三十三次得分，乃兩隊全場最高。
然而，故事教訓我們，Key Person 往往只能發揮於一時三刻，但長遠來說並不能以一己之力把團隊帶向最後成央C他們可以為團隊打勝幾場仗（Battle），但卻不能為團隊贏得戰爭（War）。加莫娃的確為俄羅斯贏得了頭兩局，但當第三局之後形勢逆轉，她一個人又怎能力挽狂瀾？
要贏得戰爭、要得到最後成央A單靠一兩個 Key Person 是成不了事的。中國隊今次沒有鎖匙，場中六人卻以堅決意志，赤手空拳地把（勝利之）門破開了！這才叫做 Team Work。（《女排隨想》之二）
