每個香港人屋企樓下，附近一定有至少一個報紙檔，對不對？
就像我家樓下，就有四個報紙檔；有三個是租鋪位經營的，有一個是在街市內的。四家報紙檔，都有很多年的歷史；在十多年前這個屋宛初入伙之時，其中一家就開檔了！
可是，我樓下最就近的一家報紙檔，最近突然結束營業，這令我感到十分不便。以往我一落樓就可以買到最新的報紙、雜誌、漫畫，也習慣在回家之前在此報紙檔巡視一番；如今它變為了空鋪，頓失所依似的。
於是，我只有去幫襯其餘三家報紙檔啦！誰不知，得個桔！原來，不經不覺間，那三家報紙檔也相繼停業！換言之，原本有四家報紙檔的屋宛，現在一家都沒有！
到底，報紙檔消失的原因為何？是誰把它們趕盡殺絕？相信大家都會知道答案，三個字：便！利！店！
不知從那一年開始，便利店開始兼售報紙，以擴大其生意額。這一招相當有效，釵h上班族一早出門，就到便利店買早嶺搋R報紙，一店搞掂，於是報紙檔被搶去不少生意。
我家附近的報紙檔全滅，絕非個別事件，看來全港的報紙檔也響起警號了！
