月前接下公司一個Project，要為一份新刊物，構思一個名字。
有云：「唔怕生壞命，至怕改壞名。」對雜誌刊物而言，這亦絕對是真理。於是，幾位參與同事皆不敢怠慢，絞盡腦汁，前後一共想出近百個名字！
起初，大家皆從「星」字頭去構思，因為是《星島日報》旗下的刊物嘛！順理成章，度出一大堆《星乜》、《Star物》來。我覺得其中最好的一個，叫做《星紙》！有「升紙」、銷量增加之含意。
後來大家思路一轉，改攻英文名，要簡單、易記、夠響亮的：《Pop》、《Alive》、《Neo》、《Super》、《Flash》……甚至連《SARS》都考慮過！可是，諗深一層，市面上太多雜誌沿用洋名，已近乎濫的地步了！多一個新英文名，大家也不會有深刻印象的。
忽發奇想：「二十世紀時，人們對二○○一年十分嚮往；現在是廿一世紀，是否應向三○○一年展望呢？不如叫《3001》吧！」有人和應：「數字名好喎，不如《3003》啦！」再有人道：「唓，咁《3721》咪仲好，唔理三七廿一吖嘛！」
好名一出，誰與爭鋒？於是，大家現在手上的副刊，多了一份《3721》。
