I chose the format which I felt most closely matched the one we were used to from PP. Basically Voy has 4 formats (Super Compact, Compact, Medium & Verbose). We are currently set up as Compact. You can also be set up in "Text" or "Table" format. We are done in Table. If you swing by the new Freebies board (link above) they are done in Text. Other options we have are
1) To have the newest messages listed first instead of last. 2) Continuous archiving (once we reach our max # of posts) instead of indexed archiving (where the board archives all at once leaving you with a whole new board). We're currently set up as indexed.
3) Many different color schemes (although most I saw were pretty hard on the eyes IMHO).
4) We can set up controls so that folks have to register in order to post.
5) We can require e-mail addresses with posts (FYI, if you do put in an e-mail addy people will be able to click on your name when you post.)
6) We can require NO information to post, not even a name.
7) We can set it up so when you reply to a message the original message pops up in the body of the reply and/or the subject line of a reply automatically defaults to "Re:".

There are literally about 10 administration screen full of options, but I think I got most of the major ones. Does anyone have any feelings about things they'd like to see adjusted? Have I mentioned anything you think would make posting here easier? I'm open to suggestions. If you'd like to see what some of the other formats are like to use we can set up specific dates & times to "test drive" them & then vote how we think they work.
