Subject: Fostering a deaf dog...but considering adoption

Hi...I am very new to working with deaf dogs. I have had a deaf 10 month old male rottweiler in my home for three days now and I am falling in love with this little guy.

Does anyone have suggestions or advice for me? I just ordered a book from amazon.com but it will take at least a week to arrive.

Has anyone used a vibrating e-collar with their deaf dog? Can you recommend an e-collar. As I said I am very new to this and don't know where or how to begin my search for information.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
