Subject: Anyone else been through this?

have no idea what is wrong with him but this morning started out very strange.
Harley was not his normal self at all. No playing, no jumping, no running, wouldn't eat or drink.
I called the vet at 9 am and made an appointment for 4pm today.
By 1:30 he couldn't stand up at all and was almost unresponsive.
I took him in and was waiting when he got back from lunch. I had carry Harley to the car and into the vets.
We ran bloodwork and x rays. Bloodwork came out normal but the x rays showed something strange going on in there. His bowel looks enlarged and he is very full of gas. None of it is in his stomach, it is all in the intestine.
They kept him at the vets and put him on IV's. He might have to have surgery in a little while. I told Doctor Miller not to hesitate to operate if necessary to save his life.
I can tell you all that I have NEVER sat at the vets crying with worry over a foster dog, but this is not just any foster dog, its Harley. I am usually very cool headed and do my crying in private.
Please, send tons of good thoughts for Harley for me. PLEASE
I will keep you all posted.
