Who the heck you were, and the lightbulb just went on. LOL! Now that I've figured it out, I can certainly understand your dilemma!!

The oil isn't what does it, it's the lignans (or fiber) that can help reduce circulating estrogen levels. You can buy whole flax seed at the health food store, grind it to a meal in a coffee grinder/spice mill ($12 at K-mart), and add it to their food. The oil in the meal begins to degrade immediately with exposure to air and light, so either serve it right after you grind it or grind 2-3 days' worth ahead of time and immediately put it in your freezer.
