Subject: Too much time on my hands...

LOL. Probably not the best way to distract myself from my studies but, oh well, here's another installment.

Just read the background paper linked to on the front page produced by the Oatley Park Defenders. The authors quoted an ARPANSA source saying:

"Low levels of RFR have been demonstrated to cause alteration in animal behaviour, or changes in the functioning of cell membranes."

Maybe it's just me but I think it would have read somewhat differently if they had included the sentence that appeared after that one:

"These effects, referred to as athermal, are controversial and have not been shown to cause adverse health effects."

Too much time on my hands... hehehehe

p.s. That's only one of the problems in the paper. I held back on picking it apart as someone obviously spent a lot of time putting it together...
