This year did see a loss of great talent. Paul Newman, George Carlin, Estelle Getty, Charlton Heston (just watched the greatest movie of all time, Ben-Hur yesterdday) and my all time favorite star and dancer Cyd Charisse.

Also we lost Stargate's Don S. Davis too. Better known to all Gaters as General Hammond. Man, that one I really felt.

I met the guy once a few years back at FACTS in Belgium. Real nice guy. Warm and very cool, real laid back with his fans. And always up for a chat. He talked to my older brother for 10 minutes about a comic book my brother asked him to sign, even called Corin Nemec (Jonas Quin) over to have a look at it. Very nice guys.

Cool guy, its so sad he died, he wasn't even that old yet, only 65 or something.

We'll miss him and Majel Barret on FEDCON 2009 in Bonn.
I take comfort in the fact that they'll be remembered for years and years to come by fans.

Best wishes to all, and lets remember the ones that sadly fell away from us over the last year.
