Subject: Pepa/Silvia - Los Hombres De Paco

Do any of you guys watch the Spanish TV show Los Hombres De Paco (Paco's Men)? They have a lesbian storyline going on between Pepa (a cop) and Silvia (a forensics scientist). Their fandom is called Pepsi. Theirs has to be the best lesbian relationship I have ever seen on TV!

For those not in the know, here is some background:
The two are sisters-in-law via Pepa's brother's marriage to Silvia's sister. The two made out at their niece's communion when they were 18, Pepa disappeared for 10 years, came back and decided to pick up where Silvia and her left off. This was 3 seasons ago. Since then the two have gotten together, broken up, and have since reconciled. I love that since gay marriage got established in 2005 in Spain, all the other characters treat the couple as any other couple, and they also behave like any other couple; i.e. little discussion of shame and self-castigation. It also helps that the leads are super hot ;) The actor who plays Pepa is a supermodel in Spain.

Fortunately, for people who non-Spanish speaking like myself, some great people/person called "PepsiEnglish" has provided subtitles to all of the Pepsi epsiodes. You can find the playlist here:

It is unlikely we are going to see a scene like this anytime soon here! Did I mention that I LOVE how the lesbian couple is shown to be really physically passionate along with being deeply in love?

Here is a great article on afterellen.com on how the number of lesbian storylines in prime time TV has proliferated since the legalization of gay marriage in Spain in 2005. I came to know of this fandom through this article.
