Subject: Registered Sex Offender - two houses away!

Okay, it's Halloween and I see all the things on the news to be careful etc. and even though I don't have any kids I do check the sex offender registration to see what's going on in my neighborhood. So I decide to look it up.

So the house next to my aunt is a rental and this past August someone new moved in and I happened to notice the name on the mailbox (it's pretty big) as I go to my aunt's house.

Tonight I check the city sex offender database and I see that someone on my street and block is listed but the city doesn't provide the last two digits of the address but the name looked familiar and there is a photo. I checked the state database and the full address is listed and sure enough it's that house.

The irony is my aunt was teasing my mom about the elderly single guy who moved next to us saying to be careful and my aunt is the one with a sex offender for a next door neighbor! The house on the other side has the family of a Chicago Police Officer. And we thought he put up the BIG Fence because of the new neighbor's Doberman!

Oh life in the Big City!
