OH that's nothing - a few days ago beaches were shut all along the south coast of England for fear of an enormous crocodile slowly stalking the innocent swimmers paddling about out there. Turns out the 'Beast of the Beach' which caused such panic was nothing more than a log!

What's strange is that, as far as I know, there haven't been any crocs off the south coast since the late Jurassic period, so not within living memory then, but logs regularly float about in the ocean before washing up to become someone's latest driftwood sculpture... Has the world gone ma-ad?
