Rusty jumped as another rope caught him. He swayed heavily from the force of the rope. His eyes rolled as he realized there were no plans of escape.
Rebel nipped at the rope being placed on his head. He tried to lift it, but failed. He lay in the dust sides heaving as he tried to disentangle his legs, so once again he could regain his feet. He rippled nervously as he felt a human touch for the first time.
Fairy followed her new lords urging, moving sadly away from what was left of her family. Suddenly she flung her head high, searching for her colt-child. She whinned to him when her eyes met his painted form, huddled meekly near a fencepost.He lept to his feet to answer her, though he was soon to leave her side. He nuzzled her when he came up, not wanting to be weaned in such circumstances. Then he moved to the stud reaching his thin neck upwards to smell the stranger. He then tossed his head happily snorting his approval.
