STORY: He catches the whistle and rises his head up immediately. He snorts fearfully, and summons his colt to him, knowing somehow that the young were what the humans often wanted. When his only son trots up, he nuzzles him gently but possesively.
JOKER: The mare continues her past-time unconcerned, opnly glancing up at the shrill note and her son's whicker as he jogs to Story. She gives an appreciating whinny to her mate and takes the chance to lope around unhindered.
FOOL: The colt prances around happily, bucking to his shadow and rearing to challenge the morn. At his father's call, he rears and takes off at a jog proudly, nuzzling his sire lovingly.
OTHER HORSES: Izzy and Voice remain motionless, except for the occasional cough wracking their bodies' and their soft whickers to each other. Dice watches her son-in-law Fool apprehensively, pondering whether she should challenge him when he grows older.
