I am a writer and all for the First Amendment. Lotus mama has every right to think and say what she wants. Of course, PP is a private web sight and the First Amendment does not apply...but I wanted to say that.
I found her posts inflammatory and misleading, and she was obviously promoting her political opinion which was inappropriate our "former" forum.

Maybe it's because I live closer to DC now but I am really tired of all the anti-American sentiment. You have all these losers running around, thinking they know more than US intelligence and military sources about what's "really" going on. Just once I would like to hear someone like Lotusmama acknowledge what's been happening under Saddam's dictatorship.

Then, you have people like Jessica Lynch who put their lives on the line for what they believe...and how about those Special Forces guys who not only rescued her, but dug up the bodies of her comrades with their BARE HANDS because they didn't have shovels? (This was reported today.) Our how about the Iraqi who risked his life and his family's future to reveal where Jessica was?

That takes guts...posting links to peace posters and promising photos of "maimed bodies" or whatever, does not.

I admit, I had a little fun with her, but folks like her really burn me up.

Wishing I was young and fit enough to join up myself...remembering those who gave all and thankful for those who serve,

Cyndi in Frederick Cty, VA
Wife of Gulf War Vet and former Army Pilot
