Lotusmama's post is EXACLTY the type of post that PP SHOULD be deleting within a freebies forum. There are "Debates" boards and "In the News" boards where this type of post is ligitimate. Lotusmama has the right to post her belief's and to try to encourage others to jump on her bandwagon but, within the freebies forum, it was out of place.

Just yesterday, my brother sent me a copy of the letter he received from his commanding officer outlining that he has been awarded the "Bronze Star" for his duty in Operation Enduring Freedom. This is truly a pround honor which, not only my brother, but our ENTIRE FAMILY has earned. WE (and other military families) are the ones who have sacrificed for Lotusmama to still have the right to post her viewpoint. As a matter of fact, military personnel and their families are the ones who have signed, sealed and delivered freedom to everyone of the citizens within our United States. This is all being done without the need for a thank you or a pat on the back. It is volunteer (except in cases of war when the draft was implemented) and you couldn't find people who are more dedicated to their cause than those in our armed services. I feel that Lotusmama was way out of line and failed to look around her to see who was sitting next to her when she made those comments. If she had, she would have seen military wives and husbands who are now rasing their children alone. Military mothers and fathers who pace the floors nightly waiting for that dreaded phone call. And, other patriotic American's who recognize the sacrifices of those young men and women and who TRULY are thankful to live within these United States and would bare their lives and their souls to see to it that their children can live here, in the greatest country in the world. We are all free and we are all blessed.
