of some older stuff i like that you might want to check out: 7 seconds "walk together, rock together" and "the crew" are both fast, punk albums. some of their later stuff is a bit more progressive and pop sounding but still good. i suggest "new wind". if you like the minor threat sound, that's a good option along with a band called youth of today.

old descendents are a great option. "somery" is their hits compilation of sorts. i'm a fan of most of those tracks. the dead kennedys are a GREAT choice. hell, i can't believe i didn't think of them. your wife might hate me for that selection. i suggest a tune off of "give me convenience or give me death". the album cover is great too. there's a song called "too drunk to fuck".

old bad religion is a possibility. some of those albums were fast and aggressive. if you like minor threat, then fugazi is nice, though it's much less rough. you can try some husker du, some early jawbreaker (i still love this band), early nofx, a band called lifetime, and operation ivy could be choices. that's some early stuff i like. oddly engough, old green day still ranks high on the list. i suggest something off of "kerplunk" or "1039 smoothed out slappy hours".

shit balls. how could i forget the might machine known as black flag? i suggest the henry rollins era, but any of it is good. shit. i'm slipping to overlook that suggestion.

elliott smith...that's some sad stuff. he did part of the soundtrack for the movie goodwill hunting. i just bought two more of his cds the past couple of days. i guess his music shadowed his life pretty well considering how he died. i had read some where he stabbed himself in the heart. of course, i wasn't a fan at the time, so i didn't follow the story too closely. regardless, it's some tragic news.

take care of yourselves,

chamberlain
