of the autism spectrum...and frankly I suspect that it was kind of borderline on the Aspergers diagnosis. It's one of those things where if it is kinda borderline...they'll opt for the diagnosis if it can be justified...it opens a lot of doors to services. Otherwise, they'd say "Yep...you're dealing with a whole host of issues buuuuuuuut sorry, you're on your own."

I'm not sure about the warp travel solution...we may have to fly the traditional way a bit longer. Andrew's IQ looks to be on the high end but not in the genius type level like you sometimes get on these high functioning autism spectrum diagnoses...which is a good thing. From what we understand (and I can totally see how this is true) you end up with another whole host of issues to deal with when your child has all these social pragmatic issues AND he's also smarter than half his teachers. I think we'd rather have him just plain old smart and work on the social issues! ;)
