More of a curiousity thing behind the post than anything else -- I'm kind of used to the attitudes people have and to an extent I have them myself at times as you can probably tell from my occasional use of terms such as "O'beast".

When I was growing up and getting indoctrinated into my religious beliefs homosexuality was regarded as pretty serious sin while being fat really wasn't much dealt with -- though I guess the Catholics recognize "gluttony" as one of the 7 deadly sins. Now it seems the world is turned upside - it's ok to be gay and a serious sin to be fat.

As I read through that thread I was struck by ole Dixonator/Mr. Clean's response to my question -- he really gets off on trying to point out where conservative folks such as our good friend Lawshark are "brainwashed" or not thinking for themselves and yet when he's confronted with an occasion where he violates the principles he claims to hold dear he just kind of says "Cause I feel like it" instead of being quite honest enough to admit that he's been brainwashed himself to look at the world in a certain way.

Part of the reason I enjoy talking with you about stuff even when we disagree is because I know you've usually actually THOUGHT about it some for yourself instead of just toeing a party line and if you haven't when you see something different at least WILL think about things. I think it must hurt Dix's head too much to do that or something.
