while I consider Sam to be somewhat advanced myself (but then again, every yuppie in my neighborhood considers their child advanced!!!!!!!), one of our family friends who has a daughter Sam's age is one of those kids who just floors you. She was definitely too smart for her own good at 3-years-old. Anyway, that child had some serious issues at that age - not the same things you are going through with Andrew but it was a social thing - at five-years-old, she's doing wonderfully. Definitely not a typical child but much more well-adjusted and her parents are fine now after being tied in knots about it two years ago. Deal with the current situation but don't get stressed about the future implications just yet.
