No DirecTV for you!!! Out!!!!

We have DTV with the Ticket and Extra Innings, sports pack and local channels. We also pay $15 for basic cable, so we can watch the Colts and Browns side by side when they're on at the same time (no reception with rabbit ears). That also provides a back-up on the rare occasion DTV is temporarily down due to a bad storm.

I caught up on the thread in question and it seems like you could do both and get all you need. Why not give it a shot, little mr. no directv-having boy? Or are you still crying?
