Past 4 months - I've put in about 140 hrs volunteering, but the coordinator is having surgery tomorrow, so I am now the Acting Coordinator until she returns (that might not happen either). So, for 12 wks, I am gainfully employed!

Tomorrow is my first day officially alone in the position. I've done it other times where she has been off for a wk or so, but I'll be really on my own tomorrow. Should be fun!

The birthday was nice and quiet - just how I like it. Glenn and I went out for dinner on Friday, Emma and her friend made my cake yesterday, Glenn made dinner on the BBQ, I had a bath with Sam and then went to bed...all by 8pm. That was the best part! Sam and I read about 12 books and then he just laid in the crook of my arm and fell asleep.

Mine was quiet too. Didn't get a cake though, DH had to leave that afternoon. He did get me my own domain for a present. A friend stopped by and we talk for a long time. The kids actually behaved, that was the nicest present of all.

Jo, you didn't say where you are working? I'm just nosy, but you did tease us.

It is our local soup kitchen - we feed a lot of people, from a pretty diverse background - and the work is so worthwhile. I've been really blessed to find it...

that I would finish college and maybe go into counceling. I certainly have no problem telling people what I think they should do. LOL! I just need to listen more. Your job does sound very rewarding.
