My mom has a friend who just got out of medical school. She said the medical community are just finding out about Protein S deficiency. I don't know, I think if they knew it was a problem, shouldn't they know what the problem was? I mean they had me with my 15 mo old, do non-stress tests every week the last six weeks of pregnancy. They said I had a increased risk of forming a clot on the placenta and causing a still birth. They never let me know the thinners would have helped prevent this.

I guess if I had really thought about it, it would have made sense, but I trusted the docs. to warn me.

I would be distraught with the docs and myself if I had not had a blessing that let me know the babies that made it here, were supposed to be here and nothing I or the docs could have done would have changed where my babies went, here or the spirit world.

Now I'm just upset the doc didn't give me enough information to make an informed decision. It would have meant giving myself a shot everyday, but that would have been well worth it to have all my angels here, if I could have changed the outcome.

I know now. And my sisters will all know. I'm not the only one affected by this problem. I have three sisters, two of whom have already been diagnosed with the same condition. At least now I can give the the info I didn't have.

Jenifer,
Mother to six earth angels and seven angels in Heaven.
Our newest angel left us Dec. 5, 2003.
We miss you Anna Marie!

I know how you feel about the Dr's and they should have let you know, that is why we go to them! For help, they are the ones that go to med school for 7 years plus to help all of us with this stuff we don't know. Hugs to you
