Subject: HOLY COW! This has been a busy week!

Let's see. The weekend was horrible because Jon got forced to work Fri, Sat and Sun night shifts after already working the 3 before that! The money is definitley needed, but my back was still killing me and it was just miserable having him gone. I did end up going to Instacare on Sat aft. and he gave me muscle relaxers, Ultram (pain med) and naproxen (basically Aleve) nothing really helps, and since it takes a lot fo drug to work on me, I doubled up and still didn't get relief or any side effects either.

The rest of the week we spent trying to finish the laundry room tiling. It is still not fully grouted but I made Jon put the machines back after a week without them! Tues we all went on Calista's preschool trip and had fun there. The weather was in the 80's which was nice. That afternoon our realtor tells us we got another offer on our house! Whoo HOO! after playing the countering game we are accpeting their offer today and although we won't make any money on it, we shouldn't have to pay to get out of it! It should close on the 10th of next month so continue to keep us in your prayers that all will work out.I don't think I'll feel better about it until it is all over.

My older kids are off track until 11/10 so we've been trying to cram in things so we all went to the dentist Wed. ONly the adults had cavities. :-( Yesterday we got family pictures done at Sears and I'll scan them in soon as they turned out really cute.

I also went to a chiropractor for the first time yesterday. Of course he thinks I need 15 or more sessions and I was vey hesitant as I've always thought of them as quacks. But after one adjustment and finally having some relief with my pain, Jon and I decided to go for it. I know a lot of my back pain right now is stress and some is due to being overweight. Of course I've missed Curves for 2 weeks now because of the pain. viscious circle.

Jon's working this weekend and we're finally going to decorate the house for Halloween. I was going to have it all done for the adult party I was planning to host, but between 1/2 the guests not being able to come because of church meetings (that weren't on the ward calendar GRRR)and me being sick, I canceled it.

Well, I'm at my moms now and the kids have been decorating cupcakes with grandma and raking leaves and jumping in the pile. WE don't have trees or leaves so this is fun for them.

We still have heard nothing from Jon's job application and fear that they already had someone in mind, but legally had to advertise for it. I don't know what we're going to do financially now and am very depressed and stressed over it.I know the Lord knows what he is doing, but I wish I could read his mind.

I'll try to be around more soon.

[> It Looks like the house deal is off again. I'm just in tears over it -- lynece, 17:17:15 10/24/03 Fri

We owe $134K on the house. It is listed at $149.9 The original offer was for $145 + 3% of closing costs. We counter $152 and agree to pay the 3% Last night our realtor was given a conter offer of $150 still including the 3% and we decided to accept it. When my realtor gets to my house today to bring the actual paperwork the offer is listed at $147 + 3%. 147 -4500 for closing costs minus 9000 for realtor fees leaves us with $135K. And closing costs will probably be about a grand as well. Plus we did not pay the mortgage on that house this month as we just can't put any more on our credit cards, so we would have that $1500 to make up. Meaning we have to pay to sell the dang thing! I can't reach JOn and work and I can't stop crying. Our agent did talk to theirs and he made no explanation as why the verbal was different than the real offer. They can't qualify for more than $147 so I guess the deal is off. The only good news is that we still have the texas couple and there is another couple as well that is interested but still lining up financing.

I don't know what to do. It will ruin our credit (but since we're going to have to declare bankruptcy if JOn didn't get that job thats no biggie) to let it go without paying. Or should we just charge the closing costs too?

PIty party me. And my back is still KILLING me!
