I had to do some work at the local soup kitchen this morning, but I did turn on her light inside of her cabinet and asked Sam's worker to check and make sure it wasn't too hot. She said it had gotten quite warm, so she turned it off.

I almost started crying when I had turned it on, but I refused to do that and just made the bed - I didn't have time this morning to do anything, let alone go to the bathroom!

I guess the day will pass, just like all the other days have passed. Sometimes it seems like a very bad dream that I just waiting to wake up from, sometimes I would like to crawl under a rock and hide for just this day - wishing everyone would just leave me alone to just curl up and forget it all happened. But it did happen, however horrible it was and still is, it did happen. And I survived it, which I never did think I would or could do.

Many heartfelt thanks for your thoughts and well wishes today. We have the missionaries coming for dinner tonight (all 4 of them - 2 of them are greenies), so I've a lot to prepare. We're having green beans, green potatoes and bbq'ed chicken - with green chocolate chip ice cream for dessert. And birthday cake, of course - white cake, white icing and yellow flowers, because she will always be our Hannah banana girl.

We always have birthday cake on my children's birthdays too. I really think it helps my children to feel conected to their siblings even though they aren't here with us anymore.
