Subject: Where does everyone live?
I live in Ft. Lauderdale Florida,
Our ward here is so strange, we have about 500 members in our ward and are lucky to have 100 come on Sunday.
We have few children in the ward, although there does seem to be babies everywhere! (that could just be me!)
We live right downtown, and really like it here but I grew up in Sandy Ut. and really have a longing to move back home!
My 7 year old daughter is from my first marriage,and her father will not let her move. I am not about to leave her with him, so thus we are stuck here until he either melts into the ground or the Judge says we can move. We will be going too court soon, I will give an update upon the Judges answer!
So am I the only one here out of UT?
oh ya, it is way to hot here!!!

I live in North Carolina, in a little city right outside of Raliegh.
I've lived in this area my whole life, my parents and in-laws both live about 15-20 minutes away.
I'm in a pretty new ward. Actually when we first bought this house three years ago I was sad because I had basicly been in the same Ward my whole life. The name of the Ward changed and where we met did but it was still my Ward. When the Wards where redrawn and my new Ward created earlier this year it was fun because I'm back with some of the people I grew up with. And on Sun we are getting made into a new stake. It sould be pretty interesting to see all the new callings.
Oh yea I'm also 15 min from the Raleigh temple and our new stake center and Ward meeting house will be behind the temple when they can finally get it finished. We where supposed to have already been in it but because of construction delays it could be another two months before the building is ready.

My mom is from Kinston which is where my grandma and one aunt still are. My other aunt lives in Clayton. I just asked my mom how close they are to the temple and she said about 45 min away, so I don't know if you would know them. If you do know Kevin and Gay West, that would make it a smaller world huh?
I have another good friend from here that moved from Utah to NC and I believe she's in Cary now.

We were all in the Garner Ward for a few years before the new Ward, Swift Creek, was created earlier this year. I've know of them for several years because I've been here my whole life but didn't really met them until then. So who are you? This really has me thinking now.
My current bishop, Charlie Turner, is from Kinston. And one of my younger brother lived in a group home in Kinston for several years and when we visited on Sunday was would go to Church with hime there.
As for Clayton I'm pretty sure they met with the Smithfield Ward and by best friend from childhood in in that Ward, Carol Fowler.
So who moved into Cary? Depending upon which Ward they are in I could easily know them or at least of them.

and she lived in Kinston most of her life until meeting my dad at BYU and staying in Utah. Gay is the youngest of the 3 children 12 years younger than my mom. Gay met Kevin at BYU, but they've always lived back east. I will email Gay and tell her I met you!
My friend Janine Taylor and her husband Chris moved to NC from here almost 6 years ago. I think Cary is where she moved to, but haven't heard from her in a year or so.
Plus Jon(DH) served his mission 86-88 in the Charlotte NC mission. Never met any of my family though.

Although we have visited and loved it. We are in Brandon, the 2nd largest city in the province...by that statement, we have about 30,000 people living here or in the closer surrounding areas. Not very big.
Our temple is in Regina, Saskatchewan - over 3 hrs away - and is only a 'part-time' temple. You have to call and tell them what you are going to do when you come and make an appt for everything else.
We used to live in Ontario Canada - which is where we'd like to get back to. Both of us grew up in that province and it is hard to leave Hannah behind in the cemetery, too.

PS We had a problem about moving, too, with my first 2 children. If it is for work and employment, most judges will allow the move to be done, no matter what the arguments are on the other side.

Utah...West Jordan area. Lynece & I are about 20/25 minutes away from each other, she lives in Riverton.
I grew up in Idaho, but I love living here in Utah & so does my dh, who is from California. ~~Sheila

I grew up in West Valley and graduated from Granger High in 1987 Jon is from Pennsylvannia but came out to go to BYU. We did not meet there, but did attend at some of the same time. We met at a singles branch in West Jordan. After we married we built a house in WVC, right behind Hunter High School and then moved out here in June 2002. I've lived overseas in the Middle East and also spent a summer outside of Boston living with a roommate as well as having traveled to all the 48 states plus Mexico and even a few Canadian provinces. After all that though, this is still home and I really miss the mountains when we're gone!
My son Cameron was born in Hollywood Florida and we went there to get him in the middle of July. Very hot and humid!
If you get back for a visit, we'll need to get together as we have 2 other angel mommies in the state that we know. Marie in Lehi and another Heather who lives in Spanish Fork
Good to get to know more about you!
