Subject: Something awful happened to my dh at work yesterday(sensitive material inside)

He works at a commercial laundry that cleans the linen for area hospitals. Well, one of the workers found a little 8-inch dead baby in the linen. He came in & dropped it on my dh's desk.(It was in a bag) Not the best person to be leaving that kind of pkg. on their desk. The whole thing was awful for Brian. He said that it brought back so many memories about Matthew, even though this baby was a lot smaller. Well Brian's boss finally sent him home.(if you want to read more about what happened I typed a message on The Parent Persp. board & I just don't feel like typing those words again.)

Good thing is they finally figured out where this poor little baby came from. A mother had gone into pre-term labor
and on the way to the hospital, she gave birth to the baby in the ambulance. Somehow this tiny baby was left in the sheets and the ambulance. The ambulance went to another hospital and the sheet, with the baby in it, was put on the loading dock on the 2nd hospital. Then the sheets were sent to Brian's work with this poor little baby in it. I would be furious to know that my little dead baby had been treated this way!!

Brian said he didn't realize how much he still missed Matthew until this happened. ***sigh*** I'm sorry if this made anyone upset. I just need your prayers for my dh and this poor little baby & his/her family.~~Sheila

That their baby was found? Perhaps they might want the remains?

That must have been horrible for him - and it just breaks my heart that that little baby just went from place to place, with no one taking any care for it. Just very sad.

and they have the right to have their baby back to take care of. I would want a proper burial for my baby. It's weird, but last night when I was trying to fall asleep, I wish that I had been at Brian's office because I would have picked that baby up and started rocking it. I know it sounds lame, but that poor little baby needed some love and respect.
