Go figure. Last year he wanted no part of the bike. He wanted to go faster than peddling and his motorized motorcycle did the trick. I figured when he was ready he'd do it. Plus, he wants a dirt bike, so I said I wouldn't even think about it till he learns to ride a regular bike without training wheels, figuring it would encourage him, but last year he didn't want it. Now this year, one day a last week my parents picked him up early from school and when we came to get him after work he was riding his bike like an old pro. However, I think the training wheels will be around for a bit.
