It took about a week of practicing with my holding him by the back of his shirt and then one day, unexpectedly, he just took off (and hasn't looked back since!). I started by holding him tightly by the back of his shirt helping him balance and then would gradually decrease the amount I helped him. He was pretty scared at first and even stopped peddling after a couple of seconds. It took a lot of reminding him that I was right there and wouldn't let him fall before he believed me and really tried. After that, it went great. As I said, one day I had *planned* to periodically take my hand off his back for a second or twon and then put it back on. However, when I took my hand off he just kept right on going! I was SOOOOOOOOO excited for him. Navid happened to be out there to take pictures of us practicing. Instead, he got his first time alone on film :o) Here's a link:

It took him another week or so before he was comfortable making turns on his bike. He'd always stop, move his bike around, and then continue! Now you should see him... he zooms around with all the other kids, jumping off curbs and racing down the street. It's great!

If you get pictures of Brady, I'd love to see them :o)
