Corey and I both think the world of you and Terry.

And I wanted to let Martha know that even though you are a woman who wants to be Supermom, you are *not* the stereotypical mom with a career. It seems that a lot of people think of career moms as women who don't really care about their children or their home life. They are often portrayed as one who puts work first and fall far short of being a good mom, never mind a great one. I find you to be a perfect example of a mom who gives herself fully to her children and also fulfills her need for a career. I want Martha to know that it *can* be done in such a way that her children won't suffer because she's a working single mom, if that's where she finds herself one day.

Your post to Martha about your upbringing and the memories you have really touched me. And the way you have handled that as an adult/woman/mom/wife has really impressed me. I admire you for so many reasons. I have never met a career mom who has "it" together as much as you do. Now, I know it's not easy for you and you struggle with some issues involved with this sometimes. But I can tell you from an outsider's point of view that you have done what few women are capable of. I also think we all should let our women friends know more often exactly why we admire them and call them friends.

Anyway, I, too, wish we lived closer to each other. And thank you so much for your compliments, too! And thanks for commiserating with me on this tick thing. YUCK!! I couldn't stand knowing something was sucking the blood out of my baby probably all night long! You can bet I checked every crack and crevice today after school! LOL!

Have a wonderful holiday, Pauline. And give our love to Terry and the kiddies. And give the sweethearts an extra hug from me!

~Laura~
