In your heart of hearts, I don't think you need us to help you figure out what to do. I think you know what you have to do. You're just scared to do it, and that's completely understandable. What I couldn't understand is if you stayed there. I know you love him and want to help him. Sweetie, you've tried and, like so many other issues and addictions, YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM CHANGE. You left him once and he straightened up.... for a while. How many times are you going to let you and your children go through that?

You are fortunate in that your family in Alabama is already expecting you to move up there and you know they will be there to help you get on your feet again.

You have to think of your kids Martha. What kind of life and fatherly role-model do you want them to have?
