Subject: The Husky is the same as the SE except for two things...
In reply to: jabates98 's message, "I am confused..." on 16:28:27 04/12/03 Sat

The Husky is LATCH compatible (up to 48 pounds only, because LATCH anchors have not been tested above this point), and it has an added recline bar, so you have the option of the seat reclining a bit instead of sitting so upright. It is a 5-point harness system up to 80 pounds, and does not convert to a belt-positioning booster. You are required to use a tether with it once the child reaches 50 pounds.

It is very big and very comfy, it has special impact foam all around the shell for increased protection, it has side wings which protect in side impacts better and are great for sleep support. It's very easy to adjust with a front harness adjuster too.

If your van is 1990 or newer, you will be able to tether. Tether anchors weren't installed in US vehicles until 2000, but any vehicle sold in Canada since 1990 has tether capabilities. If you don't have anchors already, you can get them installed, often for free. I drive a 1990 Mazda, and I just called the dealer and they sent the anchors, and I installed them myself without much trouble. The dealer would have done it for free too, but it's a 2-hour drive from here, so I just did it myself.

I have two Super Elites myself and I'm constantly over on the carseat board. I plan to become a car seat technician myself, maybe even next month. So if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them!

HTH!
Jody
