Subject: Jen, Tricia is correct about the LATCH vs. seatbelt (more)

We have the Super Elite now and don't have LATCH systems in either car. We have the seatbelt threaded through and also use the tether system in both cars. I do agree that the 5 point harness is probably much safer than using a booster with the regular seat belt. The Britax SE and Husky are really quite big. It is difficult for an adult to sit in the back seat with just one SE and Roundabout now. I don't think you'll have any problems with bulky jackets in the winter since the seats are very wide. BTW, the Husky seems to be like the SE but just has a different name. I don't think the SE had LATCH capability.

While the booster definitely provides protection in the event of a crash, I believe the 5 point harness has proven to provide additional protection. I personally view it as "additional insurance" on my children.

I really love the Britax systems, can you tell?

Good luck with your decision. Hope this information helps.

Lori
