Subject: It's worse than I thought... the police have now taken our trash...

Apparently the police and investigators have been to the women's shelter numerous times. The women at the shelter are forcing Pas to cooperate with the police... the police are not looking for the truth anymore, now they only want to press charges. They told Pas they are going to give her asylum and she will be forced to testify in court againt DH. They are going to keep questioning her until she says what they want to hear, and are threating her with homelessness if she does not.

They also told her they are going to get a search warrant and search our house.

And today, mysteriously our trash disappeared. Everyone else on the block has their trash out at the curb, but our 6 large heavy bags are missing. They were out there an hour ago, and now they are gone. The police must have come and picked them up. They are looking for evidence to build their case against DH. But DH never did any of those things he has been accused of. Oh, and now they are saying that DH never legally married her, that it was sham and is not legal. By whose standards??? They also say there is no record of it in the legal system, excuse me, they were married by a judge! Sheesh!

I don't know what we are going to do... the shelter is no longer helping her find a place to live or a job, and they say they will kick her out after 30 days. In the meantime, she is going to be coerced into telling lies so she can stay here.

I just knew it wouldn't do any good to get the legal system involved.
