I can't really give you guidance on which set is best... I've never seen (or heard of) the other one. What I can tell you is that the US Kids Golf clubs have been around for a long time and are very well thought of. You can get the set I was telling you about for $110:

http://www.uskidsgolf.com/catalog/blue/bcomp.htm

Here's the write-up on the U.S.K.G. clubs:

Lighter Weight
Ultralight and Performance Light Kidsklubs are designed to be lightweight, allowing kids develop a smooth, natural swing.

Flatter Lie Angles
Our clubheads are designed with flatter lie angles to prevent the club face from closing at impact and driving the ball low and to the left.

Flexible Shafts
Our shafts are lightweight and flexible to provide more feel for the clubhead during the swing and to help get the ball in the air. Available in steel and Graphite Composite.

Slender Grips
Ultralight and Performance Light Kidsklubs have slender grips to fit kids' hands and help them learn the proper grip.

Here's a little more I found about them...

KIDPOWER™ composite shafts are lightweight and more flexible than steel and can give kids even more power to help launch the ball in the air. With KIDPOWER™ shafts, Ultralight Kidsklubs™ are 30% lighter than most junior clubs.

I can only suggest you go with your instinct. If you thought the USKG ones were too long or he swung better with the other ones, stick with them. What works for one may not be best for the someone else. Especially if the pro saw Ryan swinging with them and suggested the other set, you should be just fine.

I look forward to seeing pictures of how he's doing!

Sherri
