Subject: Zachary's school assessment is tomorrow and I'm getting anxious....(m)

There is one other private school we'll consider if he doesn't get into this one, so it's not the end of our options if he doesn't get accepted. But I still feel nervous about it. I know some of you reassured me in the past about what this kind of testing is about, and I feel like it's going to be ok. But we haven't had much time for homeschooling in the past few weeks, and when I've asked Zach a few "quiz" questions the past few days, he's mixing up his letters, and seemed to have forgotten what a few of them are. He even said the wrong color on something and this kid has known his colors since he was two!

I was just looking at the school's website and it was saying how they are for "above average" learners. Zachary is very bright, and other adults are always commenting on that, but he tends to clam up if he suspects someone is expecting him to "perform". I'm trying really hard not to express any of my anxieties over this...you guys are my only place to vent them! I've told Zach that he's going to get to play for a little while at his "Maybe" School tomorrow (that's what he calls it! lol).

Well, thanks for letting me vent. I know I must sound crazy! lol I just really like this school and time is getting short for getting him in for kindergarten.

Kari
