This is from my dear friend Rev. C. Verey (Ret). He is an inspiration to all of us.

HERE'S what the problem is with kids nowadays.

PARENTS ARE AFRAID TO DISCIPLINE THEIR KIDS. The woman in Indiana who slapped her kid in the car didn't do anything "wrong" -- she DARED TO DISCIPLINE a kid who was acting up. She probably saved that kid's immortal soul!

WHAT HAPPENED? Some DO GOODER LIBERAL got out his videocamera and gave the photos to the DEPARTMENT OF "HUMAN SERVICES" and the CHILD "PROTECTIVE" SERVICES tried to take that kid away from her!

PARENTS -- kids NEED discipline, and LOTS OF IT. You are not "punishing" them: you are literally BEATING THE DEVIL out of them!

I never HESITATED to give my kids the strap when I thought they deserved it -- and than included backtalk, smartmouthing me, lying, not doing their chores, or getting bad grades. They KNEW I had no problem making them go out and cut their own switches when they acted up. They KNEW I had no problem backhanding them across the mouth if they backtalked or smartmouthed me.

Today, I have FOUR WELL-BEHAVED, INDUSTRIOUS, SOCIALLY USEFUL and most importantly, CHRISTIAN kids for my efforts!

PARENTS -- DARE TO DISCIPLINE YOUR KIDS, FOR IN DOING SO YOU ARE KEEPING THEM FROM THE AWFUL DESCENT INTO PERDITION!!!

GOD'S LAW IS CLEAR --- THE PENALTY SEVERE!
