Subject: The AT K/O is a great tire
In reply to: LeXterra 's message, "Radial Long Trail or AT KO" on 01:13:57 10/15/07 Mon

I'm on my second set, got well over 60,000 out of the first. Negligible road noise increase, no hum, just a faint "static" in the background if anything (I had to listen to really notice anything) and they're great on and off road in anything short of mud. A little pricey, but worth it.
Another consideration is the Dunlop Radial Rover AT in a 31x10.50-15 but I'm not sure they still make them. As versatile as the BFG and looks perhaps even more aggressive. Cheaper too. That's a bit larger than the stock size on a 2000, but fills the wheel wells out nicely. You'll need to nibble a trivial amount of plastic from the bottom edges of the wheel opening to clear them, but there's no way to detect it unless someone is looking for it.
