*** 50 simdays Celebrations ***
It's been 50 simdays since the TS2 revolution, and we should celebrate. We recently celebrated the Simmerville site's 4th anniversary with a reopening of the old TS1 site. And we also want to celebrate the 50 simdays!
On the start of simday 51 there is a lottery. Each lot costs §100, the prizes are:
1st: Your portrait painted by Cassull Swims (§3000).
2nd: §1000 spent at optional local business (DT businesses not included, one shopping session only)
3rd: §500 Groceries from Mervil Market
Winners to be announced at end of simday 51. We will use the random winner tool at http://www.hinsides.no/simmerville/services/greysims/index.html
We also welcome all locals for free cake and coffee at the newly upgraded Hood Administration (5 Old Simmer Lane). Extra attention will be given to anyone who is old enough to recall the old flt world. Free entrance, of course!
*** Business deal - a few local rules ***
9 out of 10 existing community lot owners were able to renew their ownership by paying the cost of the whole lot value. It means they no longer own only the right, but the full lot and all builds.
Some have hired employee(s), and we had to set some rules:
Max 1 non-local employee per business.
Employees can be assigned to work only 8 hrs per day, 5 days per week. Only owner and household members can work extra.
There are 3 alternative opening hours (exceptions okay):
9AM to 5PM, closed Sat/Sun (ie stores, offices)
12AM to 8PM, closed Mon/Tue (ie restaurants, recreation)
6PM to 2AM, closed Sun/Mon (nightclubs etc)
Community lot businesses (random order):
Mervil Market - bakery, groceries (Bart Gobelin)
Gobelin Fashion - clothing store (Baltus Gobelin)
Andrew's Stroll - recreation park (Sophelia Mervil)
Medical Center - health care, consultations, gym, meals (Mathilda Swims)
Lake Ellie's Cultural Retreat - concerts, drinks and more (Emilda Glitz)
Club Cornell - espresso bar and dancing (Claira O'Brian)
Mini Shopping - cheap clothing and groceries (Steven Brybrey)
Youth's Hangout - fun mostly for teens (Alovar Mervil)
Old Hunter's Lodge - recreation with toy store (Amandeus Beartop)
Home based:
Johanna's Kitchen - trad food, restaurant and take away (Annalica Grumblin)
Builds & Bills - real estate, build related store (Phillion Montpellier)
Bonnie's Beauty - salon (Gullina Montpellier)
BB-design - Art shop, wallpapers catalogue (Samba Luna Hanssen)
Mervil Lounge - private club (Cruella Mervil)
In addition a few local Sims bought downtown businesses.
Cassull Swims (bar + gallery), Brigar Goth (gym).
There will be no new local commercial taxes at this point.
*** Hood Administration commercialized ***
The Hood Council has agreed to turn the Hood Administration lot into business! The lot is already registered, and current Spokes Sim will hold the deed. All economics will be on behalf of the hood, no personal profit, but the Spokes Sim will need to visit the lot a couple hours daily and is admited a daily raise in pay from §400 to §1000.
The Hood Administration is not set up to make a high rank business. At this time only magazines and lunch meals are sold. Later on there will be a room for offical speeches given by the Spokes Sim. Newly graduated Simerin Ballong was hired to hep with the cantina.
Also the remaining community lots owned by the hood will be turned into business, one by one. The plan is to hire one manager for each of them. Those lots are Bus Station, Via Victor, Gothan Quarter and the Wedding Lot.
