STRANGE ILLNESS PLAGUES RESIDENTS
-A local resident (who will remain unnamed) was infected with a rare strain of porphyria after attending a grand opening of a coffee house downtown. The resident is pregnant and there is much haste and care in the search for a cure. Porphyria is a virus that disrupts the production of heme. Sims with extreme cases of this disease are very sensitive to sunlight, causing them to be nocturnal and avoid all light. Sims with porphyria can also have red eyes and teeth. Porphyria sufferers "crave" the heme in blood and the consumption of blood might ease the symptoms of porphyria. The resident has been placed on quarintine. The virus is not contagious unless the infected sim bites another sim.
THE GIFT MINISERIES
-Director Shawn Marsh has confirmed that the first episode of the miniseries will air during the first week of May, followed closely by the other two episodes. Residents, please do not bother the actors as they go about filming or enjoying our hood.
HOOD PREPARES FOR THE FAIRE
-To celebrate the coming of summer, the Hood Council has approved a weeklong celebration. Residents will recieve a suggestions form in mailboxes. Stay tuned for a list of events.
