What are the SCPD doing?
We've all had it happen. You're laying half-asleep in your bed when you hear a commotion near your front door. There is a sneaky sim in your home, stealing all of your valuables! You leap from bed to the nearest phone and frantically call the police. Despite their promises that they will "be right there", the sneaky sim takes your goods and leaves, and an hour an a half later one lone police officer strolls up your walk. When they finally get to your house, they ring the doorbell and stand there. Once you greet them, they tell you that they didn't catch the crook. Then they leave again, apology despensed, job done. They don't file a report. They don't perform a follow-up investigation. They just say, "oops, sorry," and then go back to lollygagging at the station.
Now, don't get me wrong, the SimCity Police Department catch plenty of criminals, mostly when a sim has a burglary alarm system. But what happens when the sim gets into your home and takes your prized painting and your new top-of-the-line TV before the cops show up? Well, the insurance company gives you what the objects are worth, you get 1,000 simoleans for catching the guy, but you don't get your items back. If they catch the guy, they have to catch him with your stuff, right? Evidence shmevidence. They never do a follow-up report or even a trial.
It is more than just robbery, though. What about breaking and entering? Let's face it, if you have kids, if a big, scary sim barges into your home in the middle of the night, a child will more than likely be very afraid. It could even be traumatic! Why not make the criminal pay for any future therapy a sim may have to endure?
My question is this : What can the SCPD do to improve their protection force?
How much crime goes on, not only in Sim City, but the surrounding areas, all over the world? The total amount of crime in SimCity alone is enormous! There are hundreds of thousands of police officers in SimNation, many of them are bright thinkers. They do their job as best as they can with the resources they have. This could be due to the tight budget given to police squads. If the police departments had more money to spend, they could jail these criminals and KEEP them jailed. They could have better surveliance equipment to keep criminals away from neighborhoods. The possibilities are endless! Fight for the increased police department budgets; do it for your family.

Blue Inca Pilot : That's right, the Blue Inca Pilot band will be playing live at the Sim Chicago Ampitheater on Janurary 15th. You may fill the stadium around 5:00, the opening band will be the infamous rock band, Poison Blade. The night will end around midnight, and an after party will be from 12:00-3:00 AM at the Aurora Moose.
