I agree with Carroll, there are often more questions than answers regarding horses with weight loss, I would also ask what is his age, teeth and also look carefully at his hooves for signs of injury, all injuries to horses come out in their hooves at some stage.

Also the loss of weight could have been stress from the previous owner or paddock situation. All these things take time to remedy and the best help is someone who has helped horses in these situations before. Also thorougbred horses often look very skinny compared to the other horses we are used to seeing so we really need to be sure of whats going on with them.

Sorry these are more questions but its only when asking these that we can come up with the solution.
