Time for me to vent!!
Can anyone tell me why it is that unregistered or registered as business "Horse rescue" organisations are allowed to continue? Recently an organisation claimed that donations to them were tax deductable, untrue! These organisastions cannot legally have memberships, run raffles, collect donations, but they do and are!

The government has departments to ensure that this does not happen but these departments seem to do nothing to stop these organisations operating. Why?
These illegally operating organisations may have the best of intentions but ,if this is the case then why not register in the correct way?
The fact that these registered businesses claim to be non-profit organisations is not only illegal and deceptive it is of great detriment to those organisations that do the right thing.Government statistics regarding abuse to horses are grossly inaccurate and the endeavours for government funding hampered enormously by these illegal organisations.

The truth is greatly "streched" by some of these organisations in an effort to gain more public support and this of course effects any efforts within the horse industry to raise awareness of the true situation.

Many of these organisations have insufficient experience or knowledge to truelly help horses in need.

Thoughts and comments about this situation would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.Ihave deliberately not used specific organisations names(although it would have been easy to do so) so please do like wise.
Thankyou
Wayne.
